Four cafés, one 15kg Probat in Shah Alam, and a rule we have never broken: nothing older than seven days from roast reaches a cup.
Most cafés buy roasted coffee from someone else. We buy green coffee from farms we have visited, roast it ourselves, and put a roast date on every bag. If it sits longer than seven days, it does not get sold.
Pahang, Tenom and four smallholder lots in Sumatra — all farms we have visited, all paid above commodity price on every harvest.
One roast day a week for retail, plus roast-to-order for wholesale. Every batch is cupped before it leaves the building.
Bags are dated. Cafés rotate stock daily. Anything that ages out goes to staff, not to customers.
Full contracts and paid training. Our shortest-serving barista has been behind the bar for two years.
Telawi house blend, 7oz, pulled on a Linea Classic. The one everyone starts with.
Changes every fortnight. Currently Ethiopia Yirgacheffe — jasmine, peach, very clean finish.
Ayam rendang, sambal made in house, served until 11am. Sells out most Saturdays by nine.
A limited Pahang and Tenom blend, roasted for the month only. Ends when the green runs out.
See all promotionsFreshness is the only claim in coffee you can actually verify. Here is how we make it checkable.
What Sabah's oldest coffee district looks like now, and why we buy two lots there every year.
No scale? No gooseneck? It will still be better than the office machine. Start here.
We supply beans, machines and training to more than sixty businesses in the Klang Valley. Tell us your monthly volume and we'll quote within a day.
How a 5kg roaster in a back room turned into four cafés and a wholesale book.
In 2016 you could buy excellent green coffee in Malaysia and almost nowhere to drink it fresh. Beans arrived roasted from overseas, sat in a warehouse, then sat in a café. By the time it reached a cup it tasted like paper.
So we bought a second-hand 5kg roaster, put it in the back of a Bangsar shoplot, and started roasting for ourselves. People asked to buy bags. Then cafés asked. Then offices.
Every lot comes from a farm or co-op we have visited. We publish what we paid, per harvest, on request.
Roast dates on every bag. Nothing older than a week is sold in our cafés or shipped to accounts.
Every batch is scored before it leaves the roastery. If it does not hit the profile, it does not go out.
Full contracts, EPF, paid training, and no outlet opens until we have the staff to run it properly.
Founder and head roaster. Bought the first roaster with his EPF withdrawal and has not sat down since.
Operations director. Runs all four outlets, the delivery schedule, and everyone's shift roster.
Head of coffee. Cups every batch, trains every barista, decides which guest origin lands next.
Four cafés, one roastery, and the parts of the process you don't usually see.
Seasonal blends, outlet offers and the loyalty card that actually gets used.
Pahang and Tenom, roasted medium-dark for the month only. Chocolate, toasted rice, a little brown sugar.
Ends 31 August or when the green runs out.
Any 7oz milk coffee before ten on weekdays, at every outlet. No card, no app, no minimum.
Monday to Friday, all four outlets.
Scan once at the counter. No plastic card to lose, and it works across all four outlets.
New wholesale accounts above 4kg a month get 30% off the first delivery, machine included.
All day, every day, at the Bangsar South and Uptown outlets.
Pulled from Google, Facebook and the cards people leave at the counter.
“Best flat white in Bangsar and I have tried all of them. The staff remember your order after two visits.”
“We moved our office contract here last year. Cheaper than the old supplier and the beans actually taste fresh.”
“Booked their espresso bar for our launch. Two baristas, 300 cups, zero drama. Would hire again tomorrow.”
“Weekends get packed, go early. Their Tenom is excellent and I buy a bag every single month.”
“The Uptown outlet is my second office. Fast wifi, plenty of plugs, and nobody chases you out at noon.”
“Took the roastery tour with my kids. They liked it more than I expected and now we grind at home.”
Each one runs the same coffee programme and a slightly different kitchen.
